This is a wonderful collection of lesser-known facts and idiosyncrasies about Joyce. My personal favorites are that Joyce carried a stick to ward off dogs and found pleasure in knowing how confused his writing would make all of us. Oh, Joyce.

The Oxford Lives Joyce biography is incredibly long and dense, but has some hilarious and telling facts about our favorite Irish modernist. Check it out if you’ve got several dozen hours to kill!
